My name is Megan Woller, and I am the Democratic nominee for Idaho House District 16A.

I was born in Nampa, raised in Emmett, and have called Boise home since 2011. Idaho is more than where I live. It's home.

On my dad's side, I'm a sixth-generation Idahoan. On my mom's side, I'm a second-generation Mexican American and the granddaughter and niece of farmworkers who built their lives here in Western Idaho. My family's story reflects the hard work, perseverance, and sense of community that make Idaho special.

Growing up, I saw firsthand the value of hard work. My dad worked in mines, framed houses, and spent years in construction. My mom worked in healthcare as a phlebotomist.

They showed me what hard work looks like, and along my journey, I learned that success also means helping others rise. Those lessons continue to guide me today.

I earned both my bachelor's degree in Health Education and Promotion and my Master of Public Administration from Boise State University. As a first-generation college graduate, I understand how education can open doors and create opportunities for families.

For nearly 14 years, I have dedicated my career to serving Idaho communities through the nonprofit sector. My work has focused on improving health outcomes, supporting families, expanding access to food and nutrition programs, preventing substance abuse, and strengthening communities across our state.

Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of the Idaho Head Start Association, where I advocate for children, families, and early learning opportunities that help set Idaho's youngest learners up for success.

In 2025, I had the honor of representing District 16 in the Idaho Senate while Senator Ali Rabe was on maternity leave. That experience gave me a firsthand look at the challenges facing Idaho families and reinforced my belief that government works best when we focus on practical solutions, listen to our communities, and put people ahead of politics.

Outside of work, I am a wife, a mom, and an active member of my community. I believe strong communities are built when neighbors know and support one another.

Whether I'm volunteering in the community, spending time with my family, or performing at The Sapphire Room, I remain deeply connected to the people and places that make Idaho home.

I am running for office because I believe every Idahoan deserves the opportunity to succeed. I want to help create an Idaho where families can afford housing and child care, where our public schools are strong, where workers earn a fair living, where health care is accessible, and where future generations can build their lives right here in the communities they love.
